Question about Bose 3 2 1 GSX System
My Bose PS321 home Theater System has absolutely no sound. It worked fine, was disconnected to reconnect to different TV and had no power. I checked and replaced blown fuse inside power supply. I got it powered up, but then no sound. This unit had previously been connected to this same TV before without a problem. Checked the MOV and it doesnt appear shorted. R10 appears to have gotten hot because its dark, but offers an adequate measurement. Any suggestions? Thanks!
The power supply is 29 volts raw voltage,the IRFI44N fet on the power board is used is a switcher.
It reduces the voltage to 17 volts which is required for the AV3-2-1 meda center.The higher voltage biases the sound to cut off and can blow the drivers,try changing the fet and see if plays........

Hi - I had the same problems - it was working, then the sound popped out and then nothing. I referred to the Bose website and it said unplug the power pack for a few seconds, which resets the system. After that all was fine. This is the easiest first step. If this doesn't work, your system may need to be serviced.

First things first @ Gary12345 Bose is and has always been overpriced and never offered the quality that you would expect from the price. I would stick with brands that actually offer quality like Dennon, Onkyo, Harmon Kardon, and others. Now for the problem. kamige21 it sounds like you have it open and are checking the components. I would try to find the power supplies and look at the high voltage power supply to see if the transistors are open as that sounds like the most likely problem from what I read. If they are not then I would check the amplifiers see if they are showing open. look for any capacitors that are bulging as that is a sign that they are bad or are going bad.

I am having an even worse problem, my system works for 10 seconds then it disconnects and does not eject either. to make matters worse i live in Algeria. no Bose Tech support around here. and no one here knows the brand let alone the system.
