Re: Playstation 3 problems

Hi, I had a similar problem not so long ago, when the PS3 would turn itself off, I think it was an issue with the fan, don't forget these things run quite hot, have you got adequate ventilation to the sides, top and bottom and do you get a lot of fan noise (like a jet aircraft!!).
If memory serves me well, a system update also did the trick, as I think fan issues were fixed in this.
Hope this helps

Re: Playstation 3 problems

I have Qwest Wireless DSL and my online games disconnect all the time, I was told I needed to change the NAT setting from Type-2 to Type 5. I have been able to change it from the Qwest Modem side. The Setting has to be set from the PS3 side I am unable to understand how to change it.

i suggest you look for a pinhole hole in the drive tray area where you can push in the end of a small paperclip.

this couls save you disc.

the ps3? i think you may have a power/battery issue, my dell laptop acted this way when it died.

does the ps3 have a battery? do you have a defective power cord? call sony, they value custumer relations -- want you to uy more sony.

good luck
