Right hand click on the "sansa" icon in "my computer" and click on search. in "a word or phrase in the file" write 'voice" and wait until the search begins the click "stop" and then click on "change whether hidden and system files are included" and when there click the other option(expanded) then search again. the voice file should come up and when you click on it all the recordings are listed.

First you go to songs and then go down to recordings, when selecting it you can delete them. also to delete some songs you should hook it up 2 da computer and take it out the music folder.

Hi yomgyo...
Try deleting the recordings this way...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BIG WARNING: DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
ONE MORE BIG WARNING: BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT DELETE THE FILES NEEDED TO OPERATE YOUR MP3 PLAYER.

How to delete from mp3 player

First of all, there's a list of records or songs when you press the middle button when you listen to a song. When you highlight that song or record, hold down the volume section of the rectangular button and it would say "Warning, delete file?" Or, you can do it on a computer, when you connect the MP4 to the computer with some sort of cable. Hope this helps.

all you have to do is go to all songs list....then you have to select a recording (most likely titled MEC(then some numbers) next hold the back arrow down for about three seconds and a little grey list should pop up....select delete song/recording. that's all you have to do.

Deleting all recordings and some songs

As far as I know the only way to manage music on Sansa is via your computer. Plug in, go to my computer, click on the drive it comes up under and select the music folder. Edit the song list as you like just like you would any old file.

Can't delete Songs.

if you have a cd rw (read/write) device and a cd rw disc then you can delete songs. same is true for dvd...must have dvd rw capabilities. if you have the rw capability, and still cannot delete then there is a problem with the hardware or software of the device or windows.
