Question about Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher
I installed our GU2400XTP dishwasher last week and it worked fine--no problems. For unknown reason, it stopped working yesterday. The electronic touch screen lights up and accepts all cycle commands, however it does not Start the wash cycle. I have tried the "Cancel/Drain" button several times. It cycles for the 2 minute cycle, which should clear all problems, and turns off when the cycle completes. However, it still will not start for new cycles. Our 2-digit display does not show any errors.
The circuit boards on these types of units are kind of finicky. If there is any seepage of the steam generated by washing that gets into the door skin, then it can toast a circuit in no time flat. It is more than likely the momentary switch but the only way to find out is to remove the inner skin, pull the board, and look for toasted components and check continuity through said switch.
