I have a Sony Wega KV-34HS420 TV that takes several tries to turn on. When I push the power button or remote power on I hear the normal click and the sound comes on for 3-5 seconds but then I hear a second...

Since the set appears to "recover", it suggests either a poor solder connection or bad cap somewhere in the power supply. The 7 blinks indicate the problem circuit is in the horizontal area. Check the regulator (STRxxxx) IC in the power supply. If you do not have experience working with TVs, please refer this repair to a shop. The regulator IC costs around $25.

I have a sony 32'' I think. model # KV-32FS10, serial #8047927, made Jan 2000. During a move, the tv was dropped and now when you press the power, your hear the click, the red click light flashes...

It sounds like that in the drop you may have cracked the main PCB. The PCB's usually crack around the heaviest part of the PCB. Probably around the flyback transformer.

Power clicks on and red power light flashes but no picture

The problem might come from the fuse inside was blow out. if you have a multimeter then open the rear cover. The fuse lays near the power cord. Take it out and use Ohm meter to check it connectivity. If it is no connectivity meaning the fuse was blow out. Replace a new one with the same value (Ampere and Voltage). If it does have connectivity, the problem needs technician to find out as it relates to many parts on the circuit board.

Have just posted this - twice, elsewhere - I'm afraid the sets are getting old:
"I think you are either suffering from a failed power supply or the supply is cycling because of a 'downstream' problem that could be in the high voltage circuit. In each case, the blink count probably would tell you approximately where the problem is located but only a Sony tech will have access to the codes. After all, we are only mortals.  "

How many times does the light flash, as there is a code that can give an indication as to what circuit is bad.
