Question about Sony VAIO Digital Studio PCV-RS210 PC Desktop

No sound on my sony vaio pcv-rs210

My sony vaio pcv-rs210 has no sound its a intel inside pentium 4. with windows xp. when i go to the control panel it says that i have no audio device. and it wont let me turn anything up or down. what should i do>/?? please help me

It because driver is missing (Realtek AC97), Re-installing the driver will resolve the issue. You can use the Driver CD that came with the computer or alternately you can download from Sony Support website

Do u have the installed drivers?
if not, please check for them on the sony website.

    You can download the device drivers from the Sony WEB site.
    Select your model notebook and the Windows XP or Vista drivers you require. Please click on this link to the Sony support WEB site :-,24,72&DIRECTOR=DRIVERIf you get the Malware message, ignore it and download the drivers. After installation then scan the Sony for viruses.

    not much info.....Do you get a picture??

    You must set up webcam in Windows under Control panel sound,speech,audio devices.

    Picture is setup in Windows also in control panel / printers, scanners / scanners and cameras.

    Bigger hard drive

    I'm not sure if the motherboard supports SATA drives, so your best bet is getting any IDE (ATA) hard drive. It's up to you which kind you want. I've always been partial to Western Digital and Seagate.

    If you are running Windows XP then you shouldn't have a problem with having a larger hard drive, I know Windows 2000 had some issues with them that required registery editing.
