Question about Roper RAS8445KQ Top Load Washer
Do you think I should just replace the machine or if it will be around $100 to fix? What should I do?
It shouldn't be much more than 50 bucks to find a new water pump for it. That's the worse case scenario. It may be nothing more than a clogged or pinched drain hose or a contact not making on the selector/timer switch. Take the back cover off of the head unit, after you unplug the machine, and there should be a sticker with the schematics of what contact makes when the drain cycle engages. Make sure it is clean, and if not, then use an emory board or cloth to clean up and make sure you get continuity through it on a dry run. Reassemble and check for voltage at the pump when it goes through the cycle. Should be at the motor on bottom of the unit opposite the tranny.
