my guitar doesn't work. The red light on the console stays flashing. I restarted the ps2 and changed the batteries in the guitar. What's the problem?

Well first i think because one of my friends couldnt connect his controller to his 360. so there could be a problem with the guitar itself or the 360 has a bit of a faulty connectivty. go to console and have a look at the connection good luck

The guitar kit for the PS2 has a small black box with a button on it to initiate sync, and connects via a short USB cable. I was missing this when I purchased my guitar. If you bought it new I would return/exchange it.

Guitar hero wireless guitar with PS2, guitar sync light seems to flash normally, but the receiver on the PS2 seems completly dead, can we change just the receiver part ?

Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.

Guitar not connecting

Try turning off your guitar and pushing and holding the button on the receiver in for 5 to 10 secs. Turn on guitar and they should be sync'd. If that doesn't work, turn off PS2 disconnect from power supply for a minute or so, plug everything back in and sync the receiver and the guitar again.
