I need acomplete wiring diagram like a schematic.

Having just gone through this with our Kenmore about 10 minutes ago, I can add here that the High Temp Wash/Heated Dry button-pushing routine needs only to be done twice, not three times: Press HTW, HD, HTW, HD, and after a second or two, all lights illuminate, then it launches into some self-testing.

Still trying to figure out the cause of my 7 blinks on the Clean light. I see a number of explanations posted for it here, mostly revolving around either insufficient heat due to a broken heating element, or failure to switch on heating due to a flaky door interlock switch. Need to figure out which is the problem in my case...

Solution #3 is good, but you need to hit "High Temp Wash" and then "Heated Dry" back and forth 3x to reset the computer.

I put solution #3 is good in my comment, but it seems that it is now solution #4. Sorry for the mixup. :)

Sorry to spam here...I am new. I had the 7 blinks on the clean light. The unit wouldn't do anything except when I pushed the stop/drain button. It would make the drain sound though there was no water in it. I did my above solution, and the unit is now back in order. Hope this helps someone else out! Thanks to the other poster for the reset idea.

My model is the DU1055XTPS bought from Lowes.

Press the High Temp Wash then the High Temp Rinse, 3 times in a row, quickly. This resets the microprocessor. The unit will go through a short set of tests and then be ready to use again.

The door switch can be the issue if on side of switch does not connect it will cause the heater not to turn if that happens the control does not sence a rise in temp causing the blinking clean light it could be a faulty door switch or the plastic hold with holds the switch remember to shut the door solid in the middle make sure the dishwasher is level and connected good to the cabinet of your house i have seen many tech replace heater, motor and control for this issue and i found 90 percent of the time it is on of the door switches not making contact remember the door switch runs with the heater

How do I get the clean light to stop flashing

Ah, the famous (or infamous) Clean-light blinking problem. Watch that blinking light.... Does it blink 7 times, pauses, and repeats? Or does it blink 3 times (or some other number). The most common problem is 7 blinks wich means "water not heating error". This could be caused by a bad heating element, a bad thermal cutoff, a bad controller; but the most common problem is that 1 of the 2 switches inside the door latch is not getting engaged fully. This may be caused by something getting spilled (like a soda) into the door latch that is making it stick, or the door strike may be weak and not pressing down on the door latch hard enough. You can remove that door strike, bend it down more, and then re-install it. Good luck!

Usually there is a tech-data sheet located on the other side of the toe-kick panel which will explain the meaning of the varius blink codes, but you might still need to call a technician to fix the problem. Don't forget to put that tech data sheet back so he can find it and use it to fix your dishwasher!

My dishwasher clean light is blinking 7 times & not clean

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats...

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring).
It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Rylee

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. Let it go through the diagnostic to test the function of the element.(1-2 minutes). When it finishes, open the door and touch the element to see if it is hot (be careful, it can get pretty hot so wet your fingers to avoid burns).
Once the diagnostic has cleared, you should be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring).

''Clean'' light is blinking, ''Cancel'' does not reset the cycle.

Dishwasher lights blinking

QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
