Screen issues The screen on my 5550 is only visible at the bottom. The top half of the screen is not visible, only grey verticle lines. I can still manuever through the calibration screen like normal, but cannot view the whole screen. Any help would be appreciated.

I have picture at the top and verticle lines at

Your panel needs replaced. Half a picture, top to bottom, provides a quick diagnostic. You panel has a Timing Control (T-Con) board failure. Watch out for part cost, it may be cheaper to replace the TV rather than repair it. I hope this helps.

I have a 42' LG plasma that has now has a 1 1/2 inch verticle stripe on the right side. It used to come and go but now rarely goes away. Any ideas?

I believe that this could be a type of "burn in". If you watch anything with a black stripe on the sides or bottom of the screen often, then this could be the problem. My suggestion is to watch things that have no black side bars for a while (>week) and see if this eliminates the problem.
Good Luck!!
