Question about Logitech Z-5300 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

No sound from right front channel speaker

This all happened after I accidently turned up volume. I switched left to right speaker and both are OK. This is a 5.1 setup. When I tested sound blaster Audigy 2 dianostics, each channel played but right channel came out of left channel. Can someone have an answer.

Thanks

Keeps blowing speakers on left front channel

What exactly do you mean by "middle volume settings"? Where is the volume control physically, where are the channel levels set and what is the crossover point? After the crackling appears , do you switch speakers to the right channel to see if speakers are actually damaged or if the receiver is producing the distortion?

there are 2 channel modes on your reciever, as well as surround modes, and it sounds like you have changed modes by accident. just open the little door on the front, and take it out of 2 channel mode

if front left is working it is possible u have a dry solder on ur right channel line. try resoldering or if u want to know exactly where dry solder is, shake gently every right channel components and connections. if resoldering does not work it is possible u have a faulty ouput amp for ur right channel. if ur not sure about this i suggest u get it checked by a qualified tech.

Left Channel does not work. Subwoofer and Right Channel work fine. The plug needs to be plugged into the brown jack on the front of the computer to work at all.

Sort of sounds like there's a PC in the mix.

Can you swap the left and right speakers to isolate the speaker from the source as the problem?

Have you tried switching the various plugs around to isolate if anything comes out to the Left Channel, ever or if any other speaker plugged in as the Left works at all? Turn the volume down and bring it up slowly at first because if you send Subwoofer programming to a speaker not designed for it you may damage it.

If nothing works when plugged in as the Left speaker, maybe the sound card is the problem. Resubmit a question with the source or the PC as the problem

Nakamichi AV10. Re: left channel softer than the right one.

Hi,\

Its an issue with the tone switch activate and reactivate it to get back to normal volume on both speakers, and would suggest you to clean the switch with WD40 and it should resolve the issue

STG DR510 no sound on left front channel

Can I assume the calibration procedure also didn't work for the Front left channel? (It's not a "surround" if it's in the front). Switch the receiver to Stereo mode to eliminate any DSP actions. Tune an FM station to eliminate any external device or cable issues. What do you hear from the two Front speakers?

OK? Select a DSP surround mode. Check all modes. What happens?

If the channel goes dead using some or all DSP modes there's probably something wrong with the processor. If they all work...

Isolate the source that exhibits the problem.

It was a bad left channel cable somewhere, wasn't it?

Speaker problems

You've probably tried this, but when you do the channel test you can turn the volume up or down on whichever speaker is currently being tested (the static). Maybe your speakers have been adjusted somehow.

Sound not coming from left side surround sound speaker or my right side front speaker

it is highly likely that you're TV is outputting mono sound, hence the left channel only. check your physical connections to the TV and the balance / channel volume on the television as well.
