Hi,
A common problem with many dryers is the wearing of the guide slides or wheels. Different dryers use different methods of hold the drum in place by giving it something to “ride” on. These guides can be either in the front or the back, but usually the back ones wear out first. This is because the drive belt is in the back and puts a bit of extra stress on the back of the dryer drum. The belt can also causes squeaks or “bumps”, thumping, etc… so it is important to either change everything or determine which part is causing the problem.
When these guides or the belt wears it can cause squeaks, thumps, bumps, slow rotation, etc…
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!!
