Hover Lites RAdio-Controlled Helicopter

Innovage LLC is the importer for this toy for The Blue Hat Toy Company. I can find no information on Blue Hat Toy Company to see if replacemnet parts are available to fix this toy. Could you be of any assistance?

On my first day flying one of the rotor blades broke. I'm going to try to super glue it, but don't know if it will work. I was hoping to find replacement parts, but looks like I'm out of luck?

My daughter was given a microscope set from this same company- Blue Hat Toy Company- for Christmas from her grandparents, and the lightsource on it has never worked. I also found there is not any information listed to be able to contact them. This tells me it does not have customer service and the people of this company probably know they sell junk. I would tell everyone to just take it back to where they bought it. If the store, such as CVS, constantly gets returns on products from this company, they will stop carrying their products.

Re: Hover Lites RAdio-Controlled Helicopter

I just bought a hover Lites copter today.(8/22/08) on the bottom of the box is a sticker that reads >> "Please do not return damaged item to retail store. To buy replacement parts, call 1-800-374-2744 or please visit our websites or "

I tried the phone number before posting this and it is a valid number.

Also paperwork indicates the copters are distributed by MerchSource LLC, Foothill Ranch, California

Their info is as follows

Re: Hover Lites RAdio-Controlled Helicopter

This is a DEAD END product. I want to find a department of law enforcement to investigate the importers and marketers of this product and see that all involved are fined or imprisoned for the blatant fraud they are thrusting upon unsuspecting consumers. This kind of thing cannot go on in this country and if I can do anything I will see to it that it happens. DO NOT buy anything but anything with the Blue Hat Toy Company logo on it in any way shape or form. They are going down.

Re: Hover Lites RAdio-Controlled Helicopter

To get a good flying RC helicopter you are looking at spending a minimum of $125.00. Look at the E-flight Blade MCX. The RC helicopters I fly cost on average of $1200.00 each. But these have replacement parts and very good support to back them up. My six year old daughter bought me one of these Hover Lights and I am looking at it as a challenge knowing it is a piece of junk. I have balanced the blades and the heli and am working on controlling the spin. I would not recommend anyone buy one of these.

Re: Hover Lites RAdio-Controlled Helicopter

Ibought 5 of the hover lite helis and found that blue ones performed better than the red ones . Had two red helis that wouldn't get off the ground without crashing., you do get what you pay for. I have sence bought a helicoptor from a hobby shop and there is a world of diffrence in the flying ability. I will never buy another hover lite. Good Luck Folks. J.D.

Print copy of above problems, take a copy to the retail store, ask them to present it to sales distributer, ask for sales-persons home phone number.

Boycott all Blue Hat Toys until Blue Hat amends their unethical marketing strategies.

Is there a way to test indoor air quality in my home ?

Yes. There are few many indoor air quality testing & building performance firms that do air quality testing. Some specialize just in this discipline. But keep in mind that even the best HVAC system needs fresh air from outside. Also i've heard a thing called a sling psychrometer. it measures moisture content in the air. you want 50% humidity. all HVAC companies have them.

Digital blue qx3 drivers

Here are the instruction for installing the Intel QX3 (or Digital Blue QX3+) Microscope with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. You must be using a 32-BIT VERSION of Windows 7 or 8.1.
Note: The QX3 is not compatible with 64-bit versions of XP, Vista, Windows 7 or 8.

Note, DO NOT use the software from the CD that came with the microscope.
DO NOT plug in the QX3 microscope until Step 4.

Step 1. Download and run the QX3plus.exe program from:
After the program installs, uncheck "I would like to view the README file." Click "Finish".

Step 2. Download and run the qcodinstl.exe program from:
If asked about NTVDM, click "Install this feature" then click "Close"

Step 3. Download and save (do not open) the file from:

Step 4. Now, plug in the microscope. The driver should load silently.
If the "Found New Hardware" wizard appears and you get a message saying that the driver installation was not successful. Click the Close box. You need to install the driver manually by following these steps:
a. Right-click START - Select "Device Manager"
b. Right-click on the Intel QX3 Icon and select "Update Driver Software", select "Browse my computer for driver software"
e. Browse to the Download folder with the extracted QX3 drivers from Step 3. above. The driver software should install successfully.

IMPORTANT: Before you run the QX3Plus program for the first time, right click the "Intel Play QX3 Microscope" icon on the desktop, click "Properties", click the "Compatibility" tab, check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", then choose "Windows 98 / Windows ME" in the drop-down box. You should also check "Run as Administrator" if your account is a "Standard user". Click "Apply" then "Ok".
Step 5. Finally, double-click the "Intel Play QX3 Microscope" icon on the desktop and the program should run.
If you get a message that the microscope is not plugged in, quit and restart the program.
If the program hangs or crashes, reboot the computer, then restart the program.

Where on the internet can I find a free service manual for this microsope. I'm trying to troubleshoot it.

Good luck. Unico is importing these from China, and I have never seen an importer to date actually built a service manual for their imported products. Unico has a list of dealers and manufactures on their website: Some of their dealers will most likely have some sort of service department that might be willing to assist you in repairing one of this.

If you can post your problem, someone on here might be able to help you as well.

Are spare objectives & eye piece lenses available for my J Swift &Son Compound microscope No23102 ?

most objectives and eyepieces are interchangeable between models of microscropes. There are however a few things that you need to be aware of. On the out side of the objective there are number written on them that look similiar to this:

There maybe more writing then that, but usually at the very least you get this. The first part (100x) is the objective magnification, the 1.25 is the Numerical aperture, the 160 is the tube length (in mm), and the .17 is the cover-slip correctness. What you are most concerned with is the mechanical tube length. There are 3 common ones, 160, 210, and infinity. It is very important that you get an objective with the right tube mechanical tube length, or there is a very good chance it won't work. If you are working with slides, then it is a good idea to get one that is cover slip corrected, otherwise most of the other information is only real important to very specific applications. The other key variable is the threading. Most microscopes use what is call a standard RMS threading, however many educational or high end objectives will not have this.

The eyepieces are pretty straight forward. You just need to find one that that has an outside diameter of the sleeve that will fit the inside diameter of the tube it is going into. Beyond that, most eyepieces are pretty interchangeable amongst brands.

I need drivers for the qx3 microscope

The QX3 is made by a company called Digital Blue. They have some drivers for their digital models on their website, but I couldn't find anything for the QX3. I would send an email to their customer support to see if you can get a copy of it. Here is a link to their site:

How much is this model worth at this time . Still in the box -like new. thanks

Amazon has used ones for about $25. New they are not worth that much more. They are designed more as a toy, then a real microscope.

Hover lites Radio Controlled Helicopter

Best if you can replace the rotor as i once tried to glue a rotor with glue it stays for a bit but then the glue weakens even though its try and it flings off very fast , it might cause further damage and shatter or it could give you a very nastly cut.

I dont recommend it , if its a low power helicopter then try it but if its ones that are petrol or have a 14.4V battery dont do it Dangerous speed!
