Maybe the video has a problem, usually things like this can only be caused by 2 things, first is the memory or the RAM, try reseating, take it off then plug it in back, it. If this doesn't work most probably you have a video problem. Video problems are only to be fixed by experts.

At first thought I was going to say you have dead pixels but then after reading that rebooting resolves it, it made me think that a driver update may resolve the issue. Try going to the manufactures website and downloading the latest drivers. If hibernating causes it there may be some other updates on the manufacturers website for these issues:

I ussually put mi laptotp to a hibernating mode but now I cant get it started the message it shows says: "hibernating" and its been like this for more than 3 hours How can I solve this?

Power off the laptop, remove the ac adapter, and remove the main laptop battery. Push the power button in for approx 15 seconds. This will bleed all power from the capacitors. Now, replace the battery and attach the ac adapter. Power the computer up. When it boots, go to the control panel > Power Options > On the top of the window you will see the hibernate tab, click on it and un-check the hibernate box. Hibernation will and can destroy parts of the registry. Sleep mode is fine for most laptops....hibernation is not.

Where r u hiding?hibernating . ( what dose it mean?(hibernating)

Hibernating means that the computer is "sleep mode" but it will restart at the last state. Meaning it doesnt have to start windows again and loose whatever you were working on.

What do you mean shutting down the hibernating mode? Stop it happening when the battery goes low, or shutting down into hibernate mode?

Vista will not shut down, hibernate or sleep

It had to be sent in for service. Best Buy said it was a hardware issue after their diagnostics came up with nothing.

Basically it would act like it was shutting down, hibernating or whatever and about 15-20 seconds later, it would re-boot or resume windows.
