I have connected my unit to my TV but can't seem to find the correct buttons to press on the hand held remote to bring up the screens to continue set-up.I have yet to find a menu.

on the back of your garage door opener there is a colored learn button--press and release-the learn indicator light will glow for a short time usually 30 seconds. within thirty seconds press and hold the buton on the hand held remote that you wish to operate your garage door. release the button when the motor unit lights blink. if you don;t have a light, two clicks will be heard. it has learned the code. procedure will be different for multi function control.

first your tv needs to be a "smart" type tv set this has both a wired network connection and a wifi connection if it does not have this you will need a converter , you will need your routers password , as you will need to authorize the tv in the routers set up (yes even if you have a dhcp router ) , turn tv on if your using a universal remote most times they cant access the tv set-up menu (on purpose ???) anyways find the tiny buttons along edge to set id bet its near the power button , till you find "menu" press this it will bring up a new screen on tv , use your up/down arrows on remote to go to network , press enter on remote this will bring up a new screen , select "enable" on wireless network an press enter key , this will bring up a new screen it should after a few minutes show a list of routers It can "see" select your routers name using up/down arrows on remote and press enter , a password prompt should show up , enter the network password (from router) and press enter when done , takes a few moments but it should finally say connected (if you did it right ) then exit out of this and bring up "browser" from your menu , this will look like a normal pc browser an you can enter your destination from there , this is a general set up method your tv might be slightly different but this shows suspected path to follow

Turn the receiver off using the front panel power button and then press the channel up button and hold it until the unit powers on. This will bring you to the system info screen. There you will see the remote address the remote needs to be programmed to- usually 1. Now press and hold the SAT button on top of the remote until all buttons on the top lite up and release. Now key in the two digit number shown on the screen - numbers under ten will be preceeded buy a zero. Now press the pound sign on the bottom right of the keypad. The SAT button will flash three times and then you will need to press the record button . YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MANUEVER THE HIGHLIGHT ON THE SCREEN AND EXIT OUT OF THE SCREENS . Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.


1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

You may have inadvertently pressed some buttons on the remote to take it out of the mode to receive cable channels.
If you unplug the tv from the wall for a while, it may clear the error.

Step 1: Identifying Your TV’s Location
1. If your country is highlighted, press OK on the remote control.
If your country isn’t highlighted, press the up or down arrow button on the
remote control to highlight your country and press OK.
2. Use the number buttons and/or the arrows on your remote to enter your
zip code or postal code. Press OK when you’re fi nished.
Note: If your postal code contains letters, press the up and down arrow
buttons on your remote to enter letters, and press the right arrow button
to go to the next space. The left arrow button also moves the highlight to
the left.
Step 2: Confi guring for Cable
The next series of screens asks you about your cable setup. To supply your TV
with the correct TV program listings, the TV Guide On Screen system needs to
know if your TV is connected to cable.
Note: If you’re using a cable box, always leave it on so you can receive
program information.
1. If your TV is connected to cable, highlight Yes and press OK.
If your TV isn’t connected to cable, highlight No and press OK. (STEP 3:
Confi guring for Antenna appears–go to page 24).
2. If you have a cable box connected to this TV, highlight Yes and press OK.
Note: The next series of screens is very important because the TV Guide
On Screen system must fi nd the correct cable box information in order
to receive the correct TV program listings.
If you don’t have a cable box connected to this TV, highlight No and
press OK (STEP 3: Confi guring for Antenna appears–go to page 24).
3. Highlight the input where you connected your cable box to the TV, and
press OK.
If you select Cable Input, continue to step 4.
If you select any other option, go to step 5 on the next page.
Important Note: Your cable box can’t be connected to ANTENNA
INPUT if it is to be controlled by the TV Guide On Screen system.
