Question about Compaq Evo N610C Notebook
My lap screen just been changed but my screen still blank. I know i've connected it right because when i turn it on the compaq logo on the screen comes up but once window xp pro is on i can not see it and the screen stays blank (black). I connected the s-video and the monitor connection to my tv and everything works fine. I can see it and i've already renew windows on it so i reformat the whole hard drive. if you can help please let me know.
If you are hooked up the the external monitor and/or TV and can see the desktop, you can probably reselect the internal display via software from Display Properties.
In most cases you can change from the external display to the internal and vice versa by holding down the blue Fn key, and hitting the proper number on the keyboard. The correct key has a blue icon meant to resemble a monitor on it.
This is if the repair/replacment of the internal screen was done correctly and the screen is actually working. If the screen is not actually working, though, this will not help you.
