First thing. Shutdown your computer and unplug everything from the modem (including the power cable). Turn on your computer and log into your desktop. Now plug the power cable into the modem, and then plug in the USB from the modem to your computer with NO network cables plugged into the modem. If that doesn't get the driver installed, here's a link to one you can download below.

Motorola MSTATEA takes long time to "reconnect"

Check the speed and call ISP tech support to run the line test
Before calling them do a complete power cycle
Turn the modem off and the computer off and router if any
Wait for 30 seconds and turn the modem on and wait for the lights to turn solid
Once ready turn router if you have else computer
Delete the temporary internet files browsing cookies, cache memory.
If the modem turns too hot after running for an hour please replace the modem
DSL light blinking green indicates that there s no proper signal to the modem
Check the wall jack for any loose contacts
If you have any filter check them too
Isolate them and try with it
Change them if possible

Just replaced power supply on cpu. When I turned the computer back on the modem stopped working the dsl light flashes green then red. As soon as the computer is turned off the dsl light is solid and I get...

It sounds like your network card was damaged by a power surge, most likely what brew the power supply too. When you power up the PC now the network card tries to start and kills the network line going to the router, when PC is off the card does not short and the router works like it should. You should be able to put a new network card in a open slot in the pc and connect that one to your router.

I hope this helps, If so please rate my solution.

Router cannot connect to the internet.

Turn everything off:
Cable modem unplug the power to the modem if it has a battery remove it.
Router unplug the power to the router
Shutdown any and all computers connected to the router

Turn everything on in this order:
Cable modem wait until all the lights are on but the internet act light
Router wait until the lights goes through it's test cycle and the internet light (wan) is on.
Boot up the computers one at a time after the first computer is fully loaded go to the next computer

Hope this helps

Transfer rate now slow

Try turning it off then wait for about 5 mins then turn it back on. If that does not fix it call your Internet Provider.

No power

it depends if your computer is under warranty. it is some kinda expensive to fix since its the power source thats been affected. better bring it immediately to a computer technician or your computer manufacturer if it is still under warranty. also it depends if the computer monitor has been affected also.. if it is only the main computer tower you can just buy a new computer tower and have it set up with your monitor.
