Question about Crock Pots & Slow Cookers

Timer to start and stop cooking

I want to buy a timer like you use to turn on lights and hook my crockpot to this so I can start cooking while I'm at work. I want to turn on the pot and stop the pot with a timer. Is this ok for a crockpot that does not have a built in timer?

Hi the crockpot controls have erased the settings could you tell me what is hi...low or heat

Most crockpots have only two settings: low and high/heat. Use the high/heat setting for dishes that will cook in 2-4 hours. The low setting is for your "all day" cooking, typically 6-8 hours.

Hope this helps.

A crock pot is an ALL DAY cooking methodology and should not be altered. Fire and personal injury are possible results.

Replacemnet Liner for Crock Pot.. I want yours

I have a stoneware round, forest green liner for a Rival crockpot. I think it's for a 6 quart because I only buy the larger crockpots for my cooking needs. If you would like this, please email me at so we can exchange addresses.
