Problem for Canon PowerShot® SD850 IS Digital Camera
Downloading movies from PowerShot SD850 IS to Mac G5
I downloaded movies fromy my Canon PowerShot SD850 IS onto my Mac G5 (10.4.10) using the Canon Software that came with the camera. Movies were stored on a 2 GB SD card. The movies appear in the ImageBrowser, but only play for 1 sec. It looks like I get the thumbnail and then white background during playback for the 1 second. The movies playback fine on the camera.

Sounds like you are watching the thumbnails but the files are still on the camera... try downloading/transfering via iphoto.. the files should show up in your iphoto library and if you double click them, it will launch quicktime and allow you to play it...
