Question about GoVideo DVR4000 DVD Player/VCR

1 Answer

Video freezes DVR4000 - Some disks, generally homemade from camcorder (vacation video) freezes and then stops - returning to the menu. Not all of them do this. Some store bought dvds pixalate and some of the menu scenes won't play -- I put all of the disks in question on my computer dvd player and there is no problem -- they all play without a hitch. I have tried cleaning the DVR4000 with a cleaner, but that did not make a difference. Any suggestions short of getting a new DVD player? The vhs player works just fine on this machine.

Panasonic DMR-EZ28 and DMR EZ27 both freeze up every other day.

I have the panasonic DMR EZ 28 for 4 months. I have beendownloading home videos from my camcorder through the IN 2 port without difficulty until yesterday; Now, when I attach my camcorder through the IN 2 port, I can hear the video, BUT not see by video on the TV monitor; I reconnected the camcorder through the IN 1 port in the back of the DMR and it works, but it's a pain to be working in the back of the machine. Why aren't I seeing the video (but hearing it) when connecting to the IN2. Faulty connection??? Did I program something wrong???

Need a new remote for a DVR4000. Can you help me?

Salutations pe99er,

Your best bet maybe through an auction site or a third party parts site. You should be able to find sites to get the parts from by entering "DVR4000 Remote" in a search engine.

Happy hunting.

Samsung DVD Recorder R155

Sounds like you recorded from a camcorder attached to AV2 (front of DVD player). Press the STOP button, then open the menu and finalize the disk.

Toshiba DVD recorder problem

Generally, this problem is caused by bad sectors or other problems on the hard drive and can be resolved by going into the setup menu and re-formatting the hard drive. Of course, all recordings on the hard drive will be erased, so spin them off to dvd first. Be sure to have unplugged and replugged the unit immediately prior to going into the setup menu (don't try to record anything). If this doesn't work, no-one will repair this unit locally, as it must be returned to Toshiba's(TACP) depot for repair. Best of luck.
