My laptop wont connect to any wireless connection at all anymore, but I can plug it in to the ethernet and it works. the wireless switch is turned on and when i try to connect to any connection and it says "connected with limited access". could something be broken?

Will it connect using a Ethernet Cable?

You may need to edit the settings in the connecting computer, it may be using old specs and being rejected....without prompt, on some OS.

First, you might want to try plugging an Ethernet cable directly into the side of the laptop to make sure a direct connection works. If that works, ensure that your wireless switch is turned on (it's usually on the side of the laptop.) Other problems could be related to your router, or your computer's wireless card. If none of the solutions above work, try resetting your router by first unplugging the power, and then the cables, and then the modem's power and coax cable. Wait a few minutes, and plug it all back in. If that doesn't work, try updating your operating system.

Turn on the wireless switch ON in the laptop if it has one. Check to make sure the wireless adapter appears in the Device Manager. If you are connecting to a wireless router make sure that your internal wireless is turned on it is usually visible on the laptop and the switch may be on a bar above the keyboard or possibly on the side of the laptop there should also be an icon in the system tray by where the time is shown that shows a pc with little waves coming off of it if it has a red x on it then the wireless is not turned on. If you are connecting using an ethernet cable make sure there are link lights (amber and green) lit up where the cable plugs into the laptop.

Things to try:

1. Plug in the ethernet cable then restart the laptop.

2. Right click on your local area connection and make sure its enabled

3. Make sure your wireless adapter is disabled.

4. Check if you need a static ip address on your work network. and if so have them assign you an ip address for your laptop.

5 Test your computers ethernet port on another wired network to make sure that it is good.

6. Get a usb to ethernet adapter for your laptop if your ethernet port is bad on your laptop.

are you using wifi connection, I mean wireless connection or you're hooking up to a LAN network or through a modem connection?  If all this connection wouldn't worked out anymore, try reinstalling your Operating System!

Look on you laptop for a physical wireless off/on switch. Also, vrify that the drivers are installed correctly.
