The television has been doing this for 6 months and I can't get help from the fools at Protron, they can't even speak English. This television will play fine for a while then the screen turns bright red, then green, then blue, then black, then white, and it will do this over for a while then start playing ok. I have tried everything I know to fix the problem and nothing has helped. It is not the cable box or the remote. It will do this when I disconnect the HD box and take batteries out of the remote. It evens does it when we watch DVD's some days. The audio is always clear as a bell. Can you point me in the right direction to get this fixed? Thanks

Re: TV has video issues
That's bad dude. I think your'e picture tube of your television has a major problem.it's either damaged OR needs to be cleaned, you should fix to your liscensed/ qualified technician to fix that problem because the parts are very sensitive.

Did you install the power supply to your TV?
Have you ask them for a refund by sending them the broken AC adapter you received?
I service these power supplies if Proton co. are unable to solve the issue.
If you need more info send me an email to email@example.com
THESE PROTRON TELEVISIONS ARE JUNK JUNK JUNK! ONE OF THE WROSE INVESTMENTS IN MY LIFE! AND YES I AM YELLING! I GET A SOUND BUT NO PICTURE AND ONLY HAD THE SET FOR ALMOST A YEAR! CUSTOMER SERVICE SPEAKS BROKEN ENGLISH AND IS NOT HELP AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!
This unfortunately is an all too common problem, customer after service is poor unless you are face to face with the supplier as it's harder for them to fob you off, but even "bluechip" so called companies are the same in some cases, as i had the same truoble trying to get a 3 months old LG LCV TV rectified, after around 8 phone calls, 10 e-mails and over 6 weeks later, TV return 'no fault found and was damaged in transit.
What can you do?
Go there it is only $60 bucks. And less than $8 to ship.
I have three of these at my shop. Same thing. FK shop
jimmy and E-bay Save a couple of bucks and get a warenty.
Even Vance baldwin/Encompass does now carry it
I had a pwer supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!!
