Westinghouse 32' flat screen tv wont work with cox cable receiver

Hello
You haven't stated the type of signals that comes with your co-axial cable; analogue or digital. Anyway, you have to retune the TV after connecting it properly with Cox-Cable receiver with TV.

How do I get sound on my Vizio SV420XVT 42 Great picture but no sound

I had the same problem. I could get an analog audio signal but no digitial signal. My problem was with the cable box setting. I have Cox Cable. With the Cable remote I went to settings/settings/Audio out and selected HDMI. Worked like a charm

Picture goes blank but audio on

If you are using component cables to connect your HD box to TV. Make sure your connections are tight. You should make the colors match up. Green, Red, Blue. Check on both TV and HD box. Make sure HD pox is powered on. Make sure to select TV input to Component 1 or whichever you are using. If this doesn't work you may need to call and have COX refresh the HD box. This can be done over the phone. This will make sure you are receiving and sending the proper signal level. Good luck

Cant get a picture

1st-how do you have your "cox" cable box [you could have said it was a cox cable box!!] connected. Can you 'get a picture' through the TV without the VCR ? Do that! disconnect the VCR from the line and plug the TV directly to the "cox" box.Does it work? Are any of the cables connected from cox to VCR to TV damaged.? Let me know how you have the three(3) equipments connected.

Blue Screen Issue

try hooking all systems involved to the same electrical circuit, using a power strip if neccessary. also check your big screen and other equipment and make sure that any polarized plugs are in correctly. if you are an electrician, or know one, check the circuits that you're using to be sure the outlets are wired correctly. if the ground, neutral or power are not wired to the outlets properly it will seem to work, but not right. check the "cable line in" at the ground block with a multimeter for excessive power or get a qualified cable tech to check. when you touch the cable coming to the box or the tv and also touch the cable in do you feel a tingle? if so, it is most likely a power issue as mentioned above.
