I am hoping this is grabbing someone's attention! I set my alarm to vibrate when it went off. When the alarm went off and I pressed the "ignore" button, it would not turn off and it appeared the phone was frozen and all of a sudden it made this horrible vibrating sound and turned off. It has not happened since, but being that I just bought it off ebay - I was referred to this website by the seller - what was the cause of the alarm going crazy? Or would you recommend I return the product. This is not the only problem with it....I hear this humming sound when I am on the phone and I have always used Motorola phones and never had any problems with them...thanks

Re: Alarm Clock went crazy
Hello Hune. The issue with the vibrating seems like it was firmware related. The software sometimes gets glitchy. I wouldnt worry to much. Worst case scenerio, all it needs is a flash, which you can basically get done at any certified Motorola service center. As for the buzzing sound, its a common called the keypad hiss. Very common. Its actually the keypad that is making that sound. Motorloa used that technology for the first time for thier keypads on the razr, and it made that sound. Its been corrected since then. Hope this helped. Dont forget to give me a rating!

Yeah, I had that problem too. I thought my phone was broken. -_- My old phone from Verizon is like 4 years old and I JUST got my enV3. On my old phone, I'd have to set the alarm's ringtone to "no ring." But, on my enV3, "no ring" literally means NO ring, no vibration, no notification, no nothing. On the enV3, in order to set your alarm clock to vibration mode, all you have to do is make sure you "master volume" is in vibration mode, but you have to set your alarm's ringtone to something other than "no ring."
Reboot the HH,restart the HH and follow the follwing steps Press Menu,Select Clock-press menu-select alert type as tone-select the tone from the given list and save it.Check whether if you are able to listen to the tone.
I had the same issue. For the last few days I had the double alarm icon with the one you describe showing 8:00 am. I had no alarms etc set so I had no idea what it was until today at 8:00! A notice came up about a friend's birthday. Apparently when I was in my calendar a few days ago I attempted to put the birthday reminder on my calendar. In the menu I thought I selected "New" however just above the New option is the New Alarm option which is what I must have selected. When the alarm came up the icon went away from my home screen and the clock page. I went in and deleted this recurring alarm and scheduled it as I normally do on my calendar.
You probably have an alarm that either already came on by the time you have read this and you likely set it inadvertently like I did. I hope this helps.
Moderately difficult, but not impossible. ;) I picked up this clock @ second hand store with no instructions and was able to figure it out how to set it in about 15 minutes. I liked the calendar feature on the face and the LCD (as opposed to LED because I prefer my bedroom dark when I sleep).
When setting this clock, one of the keys is to pay attention to the the icons displayed on the face toward the lower left. Default "MODE" is time set. To set the time: Press "SET" followed by either "HOUR" or "MIN" while the display is flashing to increment the hours and the minutes to the correct time. As previously state, the default "MODE" is time set.
Pressing "MODE" one time accesses a secondary clock that you might use if you regularly travel to another time zone (new icon w/ 2 clocks appears). Setting the secondary clock uses the same method above.
Pressing "MODE" a second time accesses the first alarm setting (alarm clock icon starts flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a third time accesses the secondary alarm setting (second alarm clock icon appears and begins flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fourth time accesses a timer (hourglass icon appears). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fifth time allows you to set the calendar (calendar year appears where the digital clock display was). Press "SET" to change the date: "HOUR" increments the month; "MIN" increments the day; "MODE" increments the year. Press "SET" again to exit.
Pressing "MODE" a sixth time returns to the default time set mode.
I hope this helps someone! God's blessings in Jesus Christ! ~Thomas
Hold down the "time set" button until the time on the clock flashes. Then use rev or fwd to set the time. Press the "time set" button again once you have the correct time. You can do the same to set the alarm by holding down the "alarm set" button.
