Question about Sony KP-51WS520 51" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
It won't turn on. standby blinking 9 times.
9 blinks in that model is and audio error which means IC708 is faulty or PS701 or PS702 are open. The PS701 and PS702 are IC links solderd directly to the back side of the circuit board on the traces. They look like a tiny black rectangle. You can check them with a continuity meter if they are open. Thats your problem. All these parts are on the A Board. Hope this helps.

Try pushing the buttons on the remote and let me know what comes up on the screen if anything.
Display, Channel, 5, Vol Minus, ( Not plus ) then Power. This brings up
a screen with a list of the problems and number of times they have occurred.
Each of the problem names is abbreviated as, "OCP", "OVP", "V STOP", ETC.
We have repeated them in parentheses in the text for the "Blinks" described
above so you can correlate between the diagnostic screen and the blink
