Question about Network & Wireless Adapters
Having trouble with my d-link dwa-130 not getting good connection
I think i have a similar problem. I dont have much trouble getting the device to connect to my linksys wireless n router but i do notice it seems to have a variable connection strength even over a short distance. that aside, i started having trouble with my audio (turns out to be not just audio, but system speed entirely) skipping at random intervals. As i started troubleshooting i found everything seemed to work quite smoothly with the dwa-130 disconnected. further troubleshooting found me a Internet connection gateway that connects only when the dwa-130 is connected. I cant disable it or delete it. i dont need a gateway, the internet comes directly from my router ... is this something standard for USB wireless adapters?
Note that when i attempt to disable the gateway I always get sluggish response from the PC in all applications (audio skips etc).
Also when i try to connect to a shared network folder i get a different sluggish response. this is a much greater slowdown causing programs to become non-responsive and audio to stop all together for long periods until the folder eventually connects.
I just downloaded the beta drivers from d-link's website ... im going to try those.
