Sounds like the relay switch. Look in owners manual to see where it is located. I know some are under the dash and some in the engine compartment.

get yourself a Hanes repair manual for your car. These books helped me alot with my 1995 civic. I believe they also have a book for your shadow. The book contains everything that you could probably fix for your car. From engine rebuilding to chassis repair.
SOURCE: my 1993 dodge shadow will not start, it will turn
Does it sound like a screeching or grinding sound? If so - it could be the starter is going out - there is a part called the bendix spring that is probably not engaging completely and it will cause the teeth of the starter to not fully engage the flywheel - which makes an awful sound.
Hope this helps and good luck!

SOURCE: whats the average cost of replacing a waterpump on
Hi. Ok, the pump and gasket set will cost $42.47. If you are not Doing the replacement yourself, normal service tech fees will run in the $150.00 range, plus parts. This will lead you to a total of $192.47, roughly.
The margin of error in my figures will be $4.00. It all depends on where you purchase the parts. The general round off will be between $192.47 - $235.98, for the repair.
NOTE_ The price for a DIY will be $42.47, and a little sweat equity:-)
Have a great day, and thanks for using Fix Ya.
