Replaced CR2032 batteries in remote control for EV-1000B tv and they die within 2 - 3 months. The control rest in the cradle of tv with no pressure on touch keys. Have bought a Universal remote and canno find code using the search method. Need code or solution to batteries going dead.
You need to power the master switch on the side of the tv to off. Just turning the tv off with the remote is not enough. When the red light is lit on the power button on the tv the tv and remote are still transmitting a signal.

Hey Howeiw, I know that posting links doesn't help majorly, but I was unable to Find an "EV-1000 10.4 inch LCD Television" The closest I could find was just an EV-1000B. But that is not the same model. If you take some time when you have a chance, and visit http://www.xdiv.com/remotes/, That site has ALL of the Remote Codes for all Cable Systems.
You can also try to take out the batteries and push all of the buttons with the batteries out of the remote. Then put the batteries back in and push the power button on the remote. If this doesnt work press the two TV buttons at the same time and the remote should be fine.
