We were hooking up a new router and the subwoofer fell from a shelve two feet up. It doesn't work now. Did we change a setting while hooking up the router or did we damage the subwoofer? We don't get any sound. Thanks for any help.

Steve is replacing 9 shelves in a cabinet that is 212 feet wide. He purchased 3 8-foot boards to make the new shelves. How much board will be left over after Steve makes the new shelves? feet

Not enough info... or not enough wood.

Never saw a cabinet 212 feet wide- almost as long as a football field .

I'm going to assume you meant 2 and 1/2 feet wide. If so, each 8 foot board can be cut into three 2 1/2 foot shelves (leaving 1/2 foot left over). Do same 3 time yields 9 shelves and three 1/2 foot boards - a total of 1 1/2 feet left over.

Changining my wifi passphrase

connect your pc to the router with ethernet cable.
open web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 (if this doesn't work try 192.168.1.2)
you should get your router's home page.
when asked for user and password type admin for both.
if that doesn't work try admin and password
go through settings to where the password is and change it.
save the changes and you're done.

Can i hook up wrt120n to laptop without hooking up to cable modem to fix?

Try this: Unplug EVERYTHING(related to both the router and modem). BEFORE you plug in power to anything, connect all of your ethernet. So, first ethernet goes from modem to router. Make sure they are in their proper places. Next, take another ethernet cable and attach that from modem to computer. NOW, power everything up. Google the linksys router splash page login. Im sure it'll be something like: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or something along those lines. From there, you should be able to set up your wireless. Once thats all good, unplug just your computer and everything should be fine. If that doesn't work, its either time for a new router or you're having wifi card issues.

I am trying to figure out how to connect my Linksys WRT54GS2 router to my Hughesnet HN9000 modem. I have already attempted what hughesnet website told me to do and it didn't work. I have it set up...

DHCP and static IP are two different things. DHCP assigns IP addresses, and static Ip just means that the IP address stays the same, and is not dynamic. You probably need to reset the modem to accept what it sees as a :"new" router. Turn off both router and modem. Restart the modem first, give it a minute to boot up, then turn on the router- in that order. It should be ok now.

My son left me the linksys router when he moved and he doesn't remember the pass word. I have no info. on the router and I would like to secure it for safety. Is there a way that this can be done with...

Hook it to your PC with an ethernet cord and type 192.168.1.1 into your browser address bar. user name is admin and password is admin.

If that doesn't work, there is a reset button in a pinhole on the back. Press it for 30 seconds.

How to reset the password of the 3CR858-91 router? because I don't know the password.

the default user name is admin, try that with no password.

if that doesn't work to reset it you

1- Power OFF your router.

2- Disconnect all LAN cables

3- Loop the WAN port to a LAN port, in other words hook up a network cable from the WAN port to one
of the LAN ports
4- Power up, wait 15 seconds

when you have done that use the default username and password to access the router, but when you have done this make sure you set a new user name and password and keep it somewhere safe.

Yamaha Rx-V367 Subwoofer not working, I have new Polk Audio PS10 hooked up with Y-Adayer and Subwoofer Cable to Subwoofer Jack on backn of receiver. No sound in Radio mode which other 4 speakers work, in...

Have you looked at the manual?

The NEW thing doesn't work.

Does the subwoofer work for setup? That would certify the hardware and speaker definitions are ok.

The PC has the responsibility for defining and sending out something between headphone and full-blown 7.1 though the HDMI. Check your PC sound controls and the "Information on HDMI" section of the manual.

For the radio mode, probably the only analog stereo source you have, read up on the STRAIGHT decoding mode and Sound Field programs.

My belkin router won;t connect to my laptop, wii, ds or dsi

Did all these devices use wireless? Or were they plugged into it?

The router may have reset itself so you might have to sign in to the router and setup the wireless again.

The PC that is hooked via ethernet, did it use the router wirelessly at all?

Try signing into the router and check the wireless security key settings etc. Reset it if you have to type in a new key and try testing the settings with one of your wireless devices to see if it works. Remember to have the device on the same key/index/channel and the same security type as is set on the router.

Can not getinternet on through router with f5d7230#4has been working fine till today changed router with exact same 1 still wont pick it up

When you swapped out the routers did you reconfigure the new one with the same settings as the old one? If not, hook the old one up and write down all the settings and use them for the new router.
