Question about GoVideo Rave-MP ARC2.5 (2.5 GB) MP3 Player

Open Question

Rave-mp 128 mp player

I accidentally deleted the software files that run my rave mp128 player. they are the autorun folder and the fm folder. And I can't remember what other ones were necessary to run it. Do you know where to find them? I looked on the install cd but could see any files there. Thank You for any help you can give me. Daniel

SOURCE: rave mp mp3 player ---- frozen

It occasionally happens on mine. I just basically have to hook it up to the PC and reload the firmware. (Tnough it seems the company is no longer in business, you might be able to find the firmware update file out on the net somewhere.) Seems to freeze up more if I have the SD memory card in there. Had better luck with some types of SD cards than others (faster speed cards seem to cause me less probs.)

No music file showying on MP-BT1

Just check they are not located inside a folder on your MP-BT1. If so, drag files out of their folders and then delete the folders and MP-BT1 will then recognise them!

Downloading video

Use the video conversion software utility included on the Installation CD to create video files that
are suitable for playback on the MP-C7052.
Your player supports AMV files with the following specifications:
160 x 128 resolution at 15 frames per second (fps)

The video conversion software will not recognize ALL types of video files, so you will have to find a free converter that will convert files of one type to AVI or another recognized video type.

Look at the help files in the video converter software for far more detail than we could ever hope to provide here.

I need 2 know how 2 uninstall info from my mp-4001 moV.ox centon

Do this procedure for "voice" mode to delete voice recordings:

Delete file (stop submenu) - Delete corresponding files and save files in Music mode, Voice mode or FM mode.
1. In stop interface (FM without stop interface)
2. Short press "MODE" to enter stop submenu
3. Click "NEXT" or "PREV" to choose "single" or "all" files
4. Short press "MODE" to enter the Delete interface
5. Click "NEXT" to change "no" into "yes"
6. Short press MODE to confirm the delete prompt
"Delete all" will delete all related files stored in the selected folder. For example, if in music mode "Delete all" will delete all the music files, while other recorded files (e.g. voice recordings or FM recordings) will not be deleted.
Likewise, if "Delete all" is used when in the "Replay" menu, this will delete all recorded files but leave music files intact.
FM is much simpler – "Delete" or "Delete all" will delete the station(s) saved before.

SD Card

Mine works with 2GB card... AFAIK, that's the max, although I haven't tried a 4GB card.

I found updated firmware at:

*update*  site has not been updated and download links not working... useful info there nonetheless... I will put the file(s) on my site:

expect them up there by Oct. 20/07...

the ILO player referred to there is electronically identical, if not physical and the update works with all the Rave MP AMP series. I had a hard time finding this but it was worth the effort.

works great :-)
