My gateway w350a laptop keeping shuting down after about 10-15 mins

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it

too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it

might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has

failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced.

If none of this solves the problem, or is not the case, then you might have a bad motherboard.

My gateway MA1 laptop running win xp has cooling problems

Contact GATEWAY, and get them to fix your laptop.
The fan is designed to run at "full-speed" when you first turn it on, and then there are temperature sensors that slow the fan down, to minimize noise, while the computer is "cool" enough that the fan does not need to run. The sensor is malfunctioning, and is not turning-on (or turning-up) the fan when the computer gets "warm".

Gateway laptop shuts off even when plugged in

Well, I'm not exactly sure if it is the cooling fan (you would have to see if its working), but it definitely could be an overheating problem. Another problem could actually be the battery, even if you have it plugged in, the battery can still cause it to shut down. If your computer is able, I would try using it without the battery and see what happens. And I believe that the cooling fan will fit. Here is a good site to help you troubleshoot your problem

Gateway w350a shuts off for no reason

if for any reason the computer shuts off immediately it could be from the CPU fan, your computer probably has problem in its coling system, it could be the fan has so many dust obstruction, to solve this you need an expert to open up your laptop and clean the fan. in theory if the cpu reaches its peak temp. it will automatically shuts down to prevent damaged to your system. hope this helps you...

My gateway m305crv laptop is over heatingthe fan is on and off and jet it over heats after 2 hours the battery no longer work so use elctrcity a/c all the time

I recommend you check check all your air vents for dust buildup. Use an old toothbrush to brush the dust away from the vent holes and blow air through the vents using one of those compressed air cans made for cleaning keyboards. One time I worked on a Sony laptop that I had to take apart to get all the dust cleaned out of the air vent. If you think overheating is still a problem I recommend downloading a free piece of software named FanSpeed. Here's a link. I'll let you read the description for yourself, but in short it allows you to monitor the temperature inside your computer and to adjust how the fans react to this temperature.

Has the fan been replaced? If not then the laptop will power itself off to protect from overheating. The fan is like a switch in the loop. Like old Xmas lights. One not working then none will work.
