Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S40 Digital Camera
I have a new memory stick with adaptor. When I turn on the camera it says "access"...then eventually memory stick error. The numbers c:13:01 are flashing in the upper right corner. The memory stick seems to fit fine, but this screen is stuck and won't do anything else...Is it just the battery?
Take the memory stick out and blow hard into the loading slot.sometimes a bit of dust can inpair the connection.i had the same problem and tried this and it worked

In DSCT1 Camera, the C:13:01 error message indicates a Self diagnostic message. Each of these codes indicates the symptoms and resolutions of the Camera. In C:13:01, the issue is with the Memory Stick being used in the Camera.
The Symptoms are:
Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB is not compatible with the DSCF707 Camera. Maximum capacity supported by the Camera is up to 128MB. Please try using a MS with 128 MB and check if it works. A dedicated adapter (MSAC-M2) must be attached to use Memory Stick Duo or MagicGate Memory Stick Duo media.
