I am trying to mount my LG 37" on the wall and cannot figure out how to remove the stand that came with the tv

this is designed to be a stand not a wall mount, here are the spec's for it:

Walmart and others have the universal "jimmy stand" for about 90 bucks. This will mount to the TV (on the back like a wall mount) but also includes a base so you can simply set it on a table.

There are two pegs that protrude from the base into the tv.......there will be two large philips screws on each. remove and pull strait up off the base........hope this helps!

The cheapest I have found is Videosecu Dual Arm TV Wall Mount Bracket for Sony Bravia 32 37 40 42 46 50... on amazon. I hope this was helpful. regards

To remove the base stand, place the TV face down on a smooth surface. Place a cloth underneath it to protect the screen. Remove the 4 phillip screws from the stand. The stand can now be removed. The set can with a cover plate you can use to cover the opening.
See page #86 in the User Manual.

Hello you remove the last four screws on the back of the tv located down at the bottom theres two on each side the stand will slide out...

If you are looking at the back of your tv there is the stand bracket with a screw on each side. remove those screws and nothing will happen. that is the problem i was having but if you look right above the ones you just took out and there is going to be a black screw. take those off from each side and it will fall off.

did you figure this out? I only ask because I need the stand for my TV. Could you sell me yours?

Slide clips are used on a lot of these sets, and they require a small, flat blade to release the catch on both sides to allow removal...accordianman

You should see at least 4 large phillips head or box headed screws tha hold the stand in place.
