Wireless What tools do I need to go wireless?

Are you using wireless tools, like a wireless mouse or a wireless pen tool? you better switch of you phone, or better replace it with a wired version. I changed all my beautiful wireless stud, like keyboard and mouse for the same reason.

The wireless manageent tools is in the router's wireless configuration.
To connect to your wireless router, the router's wirelesssettings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also thewireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with theserouter's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicatewith your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down andput it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.

1. After clicking the link, select Networking: Wireless.

2. Select the Wireless driver that suits your operating system, Be sure of your wireless model. click the hyperlink in the middle.

3. Click the encircled portion.

4. After downloading click the executable driver, install and reboot if prompted. 5. After rebooting and problem persist download and install Lenovo tool box.

You should have a wireless configuration tool (there is one built in to Windows). You will need to know the SSID, encryption type, and passphrase for the network you are trying to log on to. Enter that information into the configuration tool and you should be fine.

More than likely your wireless Service on Laptop needs to be turned ON. Depending on the make of your laptop, you may find a wireless on/off switch at the fronte side. Or somewhere above the "F" keys. If you do not find the on/off switch we must revert to manualy from Operating system, which will defer depending on which one you have.

Basicaly - Go to "Control Panel" once there change to classic view ( on the left side )

Once in classic view you need to find "Administrative Tools" and select.

Once in "Admin. Tools" look and select "Services"

Once in services you need to scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Wireless Zero`` and make sure this service is turned on.

It should, at this point, be able to view your wireless connection.

router administration tool can be open through browser (Internet Explorer). you need to make sure that laptop is connected with router by direct cable or through wireless connection

Step 1 Open your web browser and type the IP address of the wireless router in the address bar (default is 192.168.0.1). Press Enter.

Step 2 The default username is admin and the password is blank (nothing). Click OK.

this will open the router administration tool.

another program is using the wireless utility, you may find this program in start menu / programs / ... open this program and you will be able to connect to your WLAN - also check your tool bar near the clock - an icon for the WLAN may be there,

if you would like windows manage your wireless you may need to enable the wireless zero configuration service within admin tools / services
