Audio problem - Bose Acoustimas

When I use my Bose Acoustimas with 5.1, it seems that the 2 front speakers are not as loud as they should, especialy when I listen to a music show (with the 5.1). When I test the speakers, the 2 front speakers aren't as loud as they others.

Any thoughts?

Re: Audio problem - Bose Acoustimas

Go into the parameters setting for your receiver and make sure that your levels are at least matching all outputs. If this is not the case, suspect wiring or a problem with the amplifier. Oh, and last but not least, make sure that the receiver has at least the "speaker A" option switched on...accordianman

Go into your menu on it, They could possibly be turn off or the vollume for them is turn rigt down,Is it new? Or a used one that you got from somebody? You really have to watch when buying used audio (Equipment) That it is working (Properly) If it is used what could of happened .That they shorted out the (Speaker) Wires end shorted out the out put to it for them.

Bose acoustimas speaker output jacks not working

try to trace your problem inside the main circuitry of the jacks ( open it and see on the solder side of the Printed circuit board(where all the electronic components and soldered/welded if there are loose connections (small cracks... use magnifying glass if you have one) then solder them.
also check for the transistor amplifiers and output capacitors....
check also for the connectivity of all wirings!

I have a pair of redline bose cube speakers and an acoustimas. I don't have cable for the connection. I would appreciate if someone help me showing diagram and which cable I should use it. Thanks

You can make a serial cable for it. All you need is a 15-pin d-type female connector and a bunch of speaker wire. Solder the speaker wire as shown in my diagram.

Cube speakers w/ no subwoofer

I have the acoustimas systrem and the speakers do need the sb. That's the heart of the system.
I dropped my two front cubes and neither work. If you would be willing to sell yours at a reasonable price I would be willing to buy.
Please contact Bose customer support and I believe they will tell yiou the same thing.

Please let me know.

Bose speaker connection

The Bose systems are SYSTEMS for a very good reason. They're made for people who want good sound but don't want to manipulate the hardware much. The speakers and amps are designed for each other ONLY, not only electrically but through soundshaping to provide the smooth final result. The design is for you to feed the electronics a Line Level source and the magic and distribution happens internally. These are NOT mix 'n' match components. The special connectors are a clue. The Yamaha will probably blow them up if you manage to succeed with your plan.

Initial Bose Speakr Hook-Up Acoust 10-Denon RCVR

Hope this may help but you will disappointed. as heard from some pro, your amp will blow up the bose cube if direct connected to them, they are powering down your output to fit their tiny speaker. My understanding was you have to hook up everything to the bose module. They don't like to play with others.
