How do I take apart to clean fan part real black

Hi Sherin,
You have to remove the screw or undo the clip which locks the front half of the fan cage to the back half. Then you can split the cage open, exposing the fan. You should be able to remove the fan impellor itself either by just pulling it off or by undoing a screw. Once cleaned, reverse the order to reassemble.

GE duet electric dryer. Airflow is erratic/sputtery.

M Pandora,
The squirrel cage fan would not have any bearings. When you turned the fan and you said it did not turn freely, you may have also been turning the entire drum because you would have been turning the motor shaft which then turns the belt and pulley. Not necessarily a bad thing. When you shut the dryer off, does it make a rattling noise as it comes to a stop? If it does, you may have a stripped hub in the center of your fan, and it will need to be replaced. Another way you can tell if it might be stripped is have someone watch the drum while you turn the fan, and if the drum does not move while you are spinning the fan, the hub is stripped. Those fans have a flat spot in the hub and they can get rounded out and that can cause the symptoms that you are describing. Hope this helps!

Need code for Concord ceiling fans

You have this backwards. The code is stored in the remote. The receiver is located inside the fan housing. You can try removing batteries from the remote, pressing all buttons to eliminate the possibility of a stuck one, reinstalling batteries (or installing new ones) and testing operation. If no results, disconnect power at the ceiling fan source, not the fan itself. Pause briefly, reconnect power and test operation.

Try spraying some WD-40 around the ring of the glass & push up & back & forth until the glass loosens up (hopefully).

The fan blades are hitting the back of the cage

Hi,
Just a suggestion. Make sure the back part of the cage is securely fastened to the motor housing. Good Luck,

Running not blowing air

sounds as if fan isnt attached to motor shaft. There is a set screw on the fan cage that if it loosens the shaft will turn inside of the fan not turning the fan( also known as a squirrel cage) You need to get access to the fan motor and see first if its shaft is rotating, if it is see if the squirrel cage is turning if not the set screw located on the inner collar of the squirrel cage needs to be tightened. Thie set screw is more than likly an allen set screw.
