I bought Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and cannot save

Simply select "New Game" from the menu and overwrite your existing save file (or use another save slot) when you save

The passwords, which are unique to each DS, are not shown in the instruction booklets (examples may be, but not the actual passwords)

As this guide points out, any 0 in the code is a zero (players entering the letter O is the most common mistake)

Hi, lucia bergma. Now this is only a thought, You know when we
have to save our game, and overwrite a saved file, what about
starting again from the last saved file and try it from there. Never know it might work. Let me know if it works. Pitstop

i had this problem and then I realised that when you click save, you then need to select which file you want to save (generally in your own name) it will then pop up with "progress saved" - simply selecting save is not enough

Load a save file you want to delete. Hit save on the same slot, and then eject the game while it's saving. Load the game again, it'll give you a message saying it corrupted a file and was deleted. Do the same for the remaining files, this doesn't erase your own file.

It worked for me hope it works for you too.
