Question about Maytag MAH6700AWW Neptune Front-Load Washer
Also, water often remains in the dispenser, even if I do not put anything in it.
I think something is clogged. I removed the dispenser from the slot and rinsed it but that did not help.
From experience I know that a clogged supply hose(s) screen/filter can cause this. Shut the water supply valves OFF where they exit your wall. Completely remove both supply hoses, the end that attached to your supply valve should have a screen filter even so check each end of the hose for grit and such. Then you will need to check the washer where the hoses connect to the water inlet valves there are also screen filters here. It is best if you can take a flashlight and inspect these but if not possible you should be able to put your pinkie finger up in there to feel for grit. You may have to remove the inlet valves to clean them throughly

The only thing you can do is check the hoses and clean them out.
if you open the top (3 screws in top rear )
you can see the hoses that feed and drain the dispenser,
it will take a pair of pliers to remove the clamps. don't lean on the plastics as they will break.
if they are clear then you may have a leakage of the seals from the water supply side. these valves can build up deposits from hard water and not fully close.
you can disconnect the inlet before it gets to the dispenser and watch for leaking. the valve is a sealed unit but can sometimes be fixed by removing and soaking in a lime remover, drying and reinstalling.

My solution was to remove the bleach and softener dispenser inlet all together, and manuall add such things if I need them. Maytag never managed to fix the problem even tho they replaced the parts in that area...

I am a repair person for laundry system in Okinawa, Japan. The series of Maytag we have is MAH21PNAWW. The problem is that the dispenser valve is not working. We check to see if it is clogged and all hose feeding water to it, replaced it with a new one, took the actual soap dispenser apart to see if there was anything inside of it, and last finally checked all wiring to and from the dispenser. Still it doesn't work.
