Question about Frigidaire GLRS237ZA Side by Side Refrigerator
I have 2 problems. I've turned the settings to it's lowest and the fridge is still very cold which led to freezing the filter and not allowing water to flow through. I adjusted the thermostat and seems to have helped but the water is still not flowing. I think something was damaged behind the filter when it froze. I've changed the filter but no water still.
Pull the filter and have someone barely turn on the water to see if it's even making it to the filter. Then check all lines for kinks. Then there are two water valves operated by solenoids near the compressor compartment. One is for the icemaker, and should only engage when it calls for water on it's own cycle. The other one is for the water. Have someone push the button and check for voltage at the connector. If you're getting this check to see if you hear a humming noise from valve when engaged. If not, the solenoid is shot and you need a new valve. Or if you hear it engage but are not getting water through the valve, unhook the exit and put a length of hose on it into a bucket to check this. Hope this helps.
