Re: nintendo callibration

Start the ds, then at the bottom of the bottom screen u will see an icon that will look like a ds.Touch It with the stylus wherever u need to make it get to the next screen....Then after that u will see something to the far right that looks like a target...tap that whenever and then you just follow the directions to calibrate it

I had bought the one year plan for my sons ds . the bottom screen will not do anything when you touch it, also in has a hard time reading games. what do i do?

the problem is that the ds is defective what you need to do is see how much a new ds cost that your son would want then get a quote on how much it would take to fix it from: A) Nintendo B) Where you bought it from C) 3rd parties (i.e or go to craigslist and search for ds repair)
then if you need to decide what to do from there hope i helped

Directly from Nintendo:

  1. Remove all games from the Nintendo DS.

  2. Turn the system on by pressing the POWER button.

  3. Press the A Button when the "Touch the Touch Screen to continue" message appears.

  4. When the main menu appears, use the Control Pad to to place the cursor over the Settings Menu Panel at the bottom of the screen, and press the A Button.

  5. Use the Control Pad to place the cursor over the orange icon that looks like crosshairs (the right-most icon), and press the A Button.

  6. Use the stylus, and tap the red square that appears on the screen. Do this each time the square moves.

It won't callibrate, won't finish

You need a replacement digitizer you can get them for less than £2 on the web or ebay but you will have to be careful fitting it. Get a friend good with electronics to do it for you if you are not confident. I will write a full walkthrough if necessary.

When callibrating it does not go from 3 red points to anything else Any suggestions? tried taking the battery out but didn't solve it.

this works on SOME but not all there is two seperate ways first is to get a toothbrush or something similar and clean the edges of the screen if this does not work while callebrating click 2 grid squares to the right if this does work click 1.5 to the right if that works 1 square if that works 0.5 if that works then try callebrating as normal

Can not press next with Action Replay DS v. 1.60

this may or may not work, but you can try re-callibrating your touch screen (orange botton in settings menu with crosshairs) or download new firmware/update action replay from your computer..... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: IF YOU DOWNLOAD FIRMWARE OR UPDATE YOUR UPDATE ACTION REPLAY, CODES YOU HAVE ENTERED YOURSELF MAY BE DELETED, BE CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE YOU WANT TO RISK IT. (i found out the hard way)
