This Laptop is a LG  P1-JDGBG, 1,5 year old,  Chipset Intel 945PM, CPU Intel T2400 CoreDuo, 15,4" Display, Phoenix Bios.
Build by LG self. Everest named this Board "Rocky". On LGs website could not find any BIOS Update and the LG Support mean it is no BIOS Update available.

Hi

The BIOS needs to be updated every few years when technology changes to accommodate the operation of new parts.
The update is normally obtained from the maker of the computer, or in the case of a non-brand computer, from the maker of the motherboard or sometimes the BIOS maker itself.
The BIOS contains all the technical information about key components of the computer like disk drives, keyboards and display settings. It also keeps track of the date and time.
In recent years some computers required BIOS updates to make them better operate with plug and play features built into Windows. BIOS updates were also required to accommodate larger hard drives.
The BIOS updates are generally downloadable from your motherboard's or computer's websites. You'll have to do some detective work to figure out what brand and model of motherboard is in the system that you have to update. If you bought your PC from a small shop, a manual for the motherboard is usually included with the system's documentation.
Once downloaded to your hard drive, run the update program and you may be prompted to create a floppy disk, which can then be used to update the BIOS.
However some newer programs will do a BIOS upodate without the need to create a floppy disk. You just the run the update and the BIOS is updated after a reboot.

Good Luck

To improve performance, increase the RAM from 512Mb to 1Gb or 2Gb.
The graphics card is part of the motherboard and therefore cannot be upgraded, BUT the graphics card used shared RAM (part of the main RAM) and you most likely can increase the video RAM by configuring the video RAM from the BIOS configuration.

Have a T2400 cpu, what cpu's can I upgrade to?

You will need to know what motherboard you have. Try running CPU-Z. Sometimes it will say, sometimes not depending on whether it recognizes the manufacturer or not. Once you know the make and model of the motherboard, you will be able to google the specs and see what CPU's it will take. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

Cpu upgrade

Upgrading the CPU in a notebook is a bad idea.

Even if you get a compatible CPU, a faster processor means more heat, and notebooks are not design to handle it. You would risk major damage.

If you want to make it faster, try increasing the memory.

Good luck!

Upgrading CPU

No, your laptop has socket-M the T7800 and T9500 are socket-P. I believe the fastest you can put in there is the T7600
