Question about Canon PowerShot A60 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Canan PowerShot Horror

My Canan PowerShot A60 just started to mess up last night. I was taking pictures, then all of a sudden the pictures were turning out like the pictures on the movie "The Ring" after people watched that tape that kills you. When I look at the images on the screen, everything looks stretched. The only thing different that I did was take the memory card out the day before to print some pictures, usually I just hook it to my computer and download them. What is wrong with my camera? This camera has captured so many memories, I would hate to be without a camera.

I have a Canon Powershot A60. Has always worked well until recently my photos contain a green fluorescent like outline on some of the items in my picture.Looks like stalactites at times. Help!!

You've been pretty lucky. :)
I had an A75, loved it!
It lasted me about 4 years before I started to have problems. Sadly, at the time this wasn't publicised, so I wasn't aware of any free repairs.

Please take a look here, and see if there is a remedy available for your camera.

It's old news, I know, but ... who knows ... eh?

Camera won't work with vista

Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:

some one might have changed the resolution, aperture, manual focus etc of the camera.

It's the CCD in the camera. You can take into a repair shop and see if it can be replaced.
