Re: Printer Defaults

Try setting up your sizes etc on the required printer in" printers and faxes" first and then access your print system , when you then select the "print" function you will find the sizes etc that you have set up in printers and faxes are already set for you , unfortunately it will only save for a few prints and then will default ,however it defaults to the settings you have already set up in printers and faxes

How can you configure Zebra printer 105sl (over network) to print labels in IE and have a regular printer from reducing the document size from a thin client?

I have this issue whenever I set my default printer to a label printer. Use the other printer as the default and set to the zebra only when you need it.

Have a Zebra Z6M label printer. We configure it to settings we need to work. Then all of a sudden we are back to factory defaults at random times. Any idea why this is happening?

Your printer driver will overide the printer settings. Set the printer settings and save them. Then print config by hold the cancel while power on. Verify the settings are saved and correct. Then send a label to the printer and see if the parameters have changed. If they changed then change the printer driver settings to your preferences and try again.

Running two Zebra's through Easylabel Platinum

When connecting Easylabel to a Zebra through the RS232 port, it's very important that the serial settings match between Easylabel and the printer. Easylabel defaults to 9600 baud, 8 data bits, none parity. The Zebra defaults to 9600 baud, 7 data bits, and even parity. This mismatch causes the data light to flash but no print.

Change the printer setting to 8 data bits and none for parity and the baud rate can be whatever but make sure they match from Easylabel to the printer.

Hope that helps !

Dimly label

Hi Cvetan, could you reset the printer to it's default settings. To do this you need to access the Menu, once you have accessed the menu you need to exit it. You will be presented with Save Permanent, cycle around until you find Load Defaults and press exit, it should say loading defaults. restart the printer and see how it goes. If the print quality is too light, change the settings in the driver under Head settings. Once you send the print you printer will pickup the new settings.
I hope this helps

An extra, blank label prints from a Zebra 2746e.

Check media settings in the printer driver. Check version of printer driver. Zebra printersuse an internal printer driver with their Zebra Designer software (Zdesigner driver) or a ZUD (Zebra Universal Driver) for other windows applications. These drivers can be downloaded directly from the zebra website.

Alternatively you can download the seagull scientific driver and use that instead. (used with bartender program)

Label skipping occurs if the media dimensions are not specified correctly. The important ones are label height, and media setting for type of media.

Perform a media calibration before you go changing settings. Power on printer, Hold top and bottom buttons in on control panel for 5 seconds, release bottom button only then when printer starts feeding labels release top button. When printer finishes press feed button.

Nothing printing

I work mostly with Datamax's.

If you push the feed button does it feed and stop where it's supposed to?

Turn it off, unplugg the network ( about 5' ) turn it back on, plugg in  the network ( clear all jobs from the queu, which sometimes may have jobs in there that are frozen), do an internal test print and try to print a job.

Also try to re-calibrate the media.
