Thanks for the advise, however I can get a new print head for under $60.00 and replace it my self.

If a new print head is available why would I need to throw mine out?

I also don't think that I can replace this unit for less that $100.00..

The replacement printhead is available at Inkcessories@aol.com

Well all I had to do was take out the print cartridge and it solved the problem.

I think you are nuts and would never get a job here in the USA stay home.

Print head defective. cant be fixed anymore.
You need a new fax machine due to the fact that the spare part is more costly than  a new one!

Sorry. You didnt let us know from which country you are.

Here in Europe its definitly cheaper to buy a new mfc with a three years warranty than to buy a ph that cost MORE than a new mfc at sale...

BTW: The spare part ph is of the same old construction.
The new ones are much better with less ink consumption and of better print quality.

What is error 41

error 41 is a critical error with the print head of your machine, you can try unplugging it for a while then plugging it back in but if that doesn't work it will probably need a new head. If the power cycle doesn't work I would suggest buying a new machine

Mcleanrehab@aol.com Hi, I'm getting error 41 on my screen

Hi there

Error 41 means there is a major problem with the printhead, usually
requires a print head replacement.

My advice is to take it to a
Brother service centre while if it is under warranty.

If it's out of warranty they are usually a throw away job, the heads cost as much as the printer.

Sorry I know what it feels like, just have a go and see what you can do, clean the heads and so on.

All the Best and good luck: Pineworks

Error 41 is showing up on the screen. says to contact brother. It's a intellifax 1820c.

Error 41 means there is a major problem with the printhead, usually
requires a print head replacement. My advice is to take it to a
Brother service centre while it is under warranty. If it's out of
warranty then it is cheaper to purchase a new, non Brother model. If you have been using non-Brother cartridges or refills, they can have too much water in them and it erodes the print head after a while. Usuall y just after warranty has expired!
