Philips DVP3120 Can't play any DVDs from region 1. Thought as this is a multi region DVD player it would be able to play them. Tried going to setup and choosing MULTI but that doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

You can follow the following instructions to make your philips dvp3120 player multi region!!!!!

1. Turn on the unit
2. Open the loading tray
3. Press the "Setup" button on the remote
4. Navigate to the "Preferences" page using the right arrow key
5. Enter 138931
6. You will now see the current region code displayed
7. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the region required or "0" for all regions
8. Press the "Play" button on the remote

Solution #2 worked perfect for me.
Straight away, no probs at all.

If this doesn't seem to work, try changing the OSD language to English. That did the trick for me.

I don't have any DVD's to try but seemed to work perfectly. Have done it previously on another Phillips DVD (That came with the code inside box) and it worked so I'm sure it worked fine.

I tried this and it didnt work.
i have also tried to used a downloaded program to make it multi region, and that didnt work either.
does anyone know how to make it work?
