Re: Problem with softwear

Warm the unit up. It has an internal hard drive. Very low temps can cause problems.

Turn on get a screen saying magellan thats it

  • Check if the unit is fully charged. Because if the unit is not charge you will just stay in the magellan logo.
  • If the unit is full charge and still stay in the Magellan logo find the reset button and press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds while its on and then release.
  • If still the same thats the time need to call the technicall support hotline of magellan if they can repair it free of charge.
  • If you need clarification feel free to reply to this solution.

My Magellan RoadMate 1340 will power up to logo and "moving clock

Have you tried updating the software on your device.
Go to and download the Magellan Content Manger:
Once you've installed Content Manger onto your PC, connect your device to your PC using the USB cord. The Content Manager will allow you to update your 1340 with the latest software and updates which 'should' fix the problem that you're having with your unit.

How can I get the code to unlock the European map Magellan Roadmate 760

You will need to pay Magellan for the authorization code, they are the only one that can provide you with an EU code for your Magellan 760 RoadMate. Sometimes Auto Nav 2000 Plus, Inc can also assist. They have direct connection with Magellan to assist issues with Magellan products. Good Luck

Blue screen with magellan logo , this is what I see after turn on my gps receiver, I tryed to push any button but anything change on the screen, to shut it off i have to use 'enter' ,'cancel' and power...

This is the boot screen, Remove the power connection, and reinsert while you press the "Cancel" button at the same time, if done correctly, your Roadmate should continue to boot and enter the user mode.

Temperature below safe level warning when starting GPS

Ahh yes the ever so elusive temp. below safe level error. lol. (sorry) Attached to the radio board are 3 wires connecting to the top of your lcd. This is where the temp is read from. I know telling you this doesn't help, just info. This problem has been fixed from swapping out radio boards (the board that's behind your keypad), additionally swapping out hard drives. I'm not sure if the unit will detect the USB but, if you can, try re-loading whichever version you have ie. 4.32/5.14. As far as end user fixes, I don't exactly have one unless you can find a scrap unit that someone doesn't want b/c it's malfunctioned as well. Good luck and I wish I could of been more help. -Dan
