Question about Sony Ericsson K800i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Deactivate rss feeds

Good morning, I have the sony ericsson K810 and one day I activate by mistake the RSS Feeds when I was in the internet explorer, and now I have a small icon that says RSS when I am in the main view of the phone, right on top of the screen, next to the"signal strength" icon.

How can I deactivate or eliminate this icon from my cell screen?

Best regards,
Edgar Parra

How to delete feeds

RSS feeds are live bookmarks, which Web browser use to allow you to play back video from video sharing websites such as YouTube, Google, and Video.
Whenever you click an RSS feed, it links you to the original video. While web browsers allow you to add a number of RSS feeds, you can also remove the ones that you no longer want to so as to help you organize your live bookmarks.

Launch Internet Explorer and click the Favorites button located on the top of your browser. Right click the gray toolbar if you do not see the Favorites button.
Click the Favorites Bar option.
You should see the Favorites button.
Click it.
Click the Feeds tab.
You should see a list of the RSS feeds downloaded on your browser.
Right click the feed you want to remove and click Delete.
Repeat this same process to delete additional RSS feeds. Close Favorites when you finish.

Why am I getting error message for Microsoft Feeds

This is a problem with Microsoft's RSS Feed Reader. As most people use a different Reader (or don't use RSS at all) this can be disabled. Please follow the instructions below to disable it.

Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools>>then Internet Options.
Click on the Content tab.
At the bottom, under the Feeds section, click Settings.
Uncheck all boxes and click OK.
Click OK to close the window.
Close Internet Explorer and reopen.
