Question about Sony KV-27V22 TV
Yesterday, the picture on my nine-year old SonyTrinitron suddenly rolled upward and compressed into the top 25% of the screen. After several hours, it disappeared and is still MIA. I don't have hopes of fixing it myself (Are you kidding?), but what problem does this symptom indicate, how major is it, and how expensive will it be to repair?
It is likely the HOT (horizontal output transistor) and a couple of associated capacitors.
the HOT is around 8.00 and some for the caps.
but almost no tv person works for less than 100. and provides a warranty. so you can expect 150. at least for a bill.
