2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0 litre fuel pump

Water in fuel, restricted injectors, worn timing chain or worn distributor drive gear, manifold pressure sensor bad, restricted air intake .

Check the fuel pressure at the engine and plugs for spark (ignition module).

GOT SAME PROBLEM CHEVY DAURMAX DEISEL HD 2500 CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND OIL &OIL FILTER . WHEN YOU COME TO A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT IT HAPPENS .I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND PUMP ON GAS SO RPM'S STAY AT 1800 RPM'S

My last silverado was a 99 and i changed out my fuel pump and the fuel pump wiring harness also. That seemed to make mine run smoother

Check the fuel pressure from the fuel pump.

Check for proper ground to fuel pump. did you replace the fuel filter? idle air control valve may be sticking or you have a vacuum leak.

Let me tell you the truth, its your fuel pump. everybody tells you to check youre injectors and replace youre fuel filter but the truth is its your pump. all chevy and gmc models have that problem. I just replaced mine. i have a 2001 chevy 2500hd also with the 6.0 and did the exact same thing. I bought a fuel pump and put it in and BINGO truck runs and starts like new. TRUST ME MAN

MOST LIKELY A WEAK FUEL PUMP

if it is the fuel level sending unit you will have to replace the pump because they are a 1 piece assambly. it will be a task to change too as you will need to either remove the truck bed or drop the fuel tank to get to it.
