my computer is infected by autorun.inf virus. when i select show hidden files from folder option dialog box, my computer does not show hidden files and folders. The setting automatically changes to do not show hidden files and folder.
also when i double click on any drive it opens the drive in another window instead of same window.

Aslam o alikum and eid mubarik to every body........ I thought its is not only problem with regitry.

1- Go to start->run type cmd .......and write cd\ then type autorun.inf . if note pad file opens it means ur system is infected wid autorun.inf virus.

2-if it happens then u write attrib -h -r -s.
3-then u del attribe -h -r -s and c:\del autrun.inf
4- revise this procedure for all of ur drives .
5-restart ur pc and then change the checked Value to 1.

u can simply install avira personal/prenium the best anti-virus ever 4 torjans and worm try its full scan and then change the value of checkedValue.

Best Regards

I cant find my hidden apps on my lg motion 4g

If I'm not wrong most of the hidden are shown in the cell phone. If your cell phone support USB than try yourself from your system (PC) there Show your hidden files.(suppose if you are using windows 7 than try this step if you don't show your hidden file or folder(s) Click on Organize>Folder and search options>In folder options> Click on view>show hidden files, folders, and drives)
In case if you can't do it by yourself than please refer to the nearest mobile service centre in case if your OS(Operating System) has been corrupted.

Thanks for using FixYa!

What do you mean you can't open files or folders? Are you saying the files or folders are not on the hard drive since it's blank? I think you've got a virus that has hidden your files and folders?

I'm not sure which operating system you have but you need to get to Folder Options.

In Windows XP you can click Start/My Computer. When My Computer Opens click Tools at the top of the window and then select Folder Options. When the Folder Options window opens, click the View Tab and scroll down and select Show All Hidden Files And Folders. Click OK then go click on your C: Local Drive and see if your folders and files are there. Hidden Folders will show up lighter than a normal folder.

On our old computer i can see my folders(hidden folders), but in our new computer i cant see it

Some virus make the contents of the drive hidden, thats why user can't see the files. This can be fixed and data would be available to you. However, there are number of steps involved.
It is suggested that go to FOLDER OPTIONS - and select 'SHOW HIDDEN FILES & FOLDERS' and uncheck/ Deselect 'HIDE PROTECTED SYSTEM FILES'.

It would show the hidden files/ folders, if the system not infected Otherwise, from the clean/ virus free system you can see your data and copy all the required files/data. Select the required files and right-click and change the properties of the file by un-checking the hidden attribute. Please note that you can not change the properties (hidden attribute of the files) if the files are marked as system files. To change the attribute of such folders you can download and use iReset. Just select the file or folder and its just as easy to drag and drop to reset all attributes and make the files visible again.(Note that you can reset one folder or file at a time)

Also, make sure that you have a good antivirus installed and its updated. Scan your system and clean it.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

I cannot see psp files on my computer.

If they are on the memory stick, but you cant see them once plugged into the computer, then they might be hidden. One in the folder that the files should exist go to tools>folder options> second tab, and check off "show hidden files".

if they are there. that will show them to you
